Section titled “Decision”Apache License 2.0 was approved and added for v0.1.0 on 2026-08-11. This toolkit is developer infrastructure that may be embedded in commercial and open-source workflows. Apache-2.0 grants broad use rights like MIT while also providing an explicit patent license, patent-termination protection, and clearer contribution terms. Those protections are worth the additional license text for a tool intended to attract outside contributors and integrations.
MIT remains a sound alternative when the overriding goal is the shortest, most familiar permissive license. It has less administrative text, but it does not include an express patent grant or Apache’s notice mechanics.
